As the more observant of you may have noticed, the AVCC Endpoint Directory has begun to list endpoints from over the Tasman. Over the next few weeks AVCC will be adding endpoints from all over Australia to the directory in an effort to make it easier for New Zealanders and Australians to make connections with each other. Eventually we would hope that Australian Universities may even want to maintain these the same way our local members do, to keep this information as up to date as possible.
Any video conferencing with Australian Universities receives the same benefits as communications over KAREN, as we are directly connected to the Australian Research Network, AARNet. That means you will receive the same benefits of fast data transmission, and no cost of bandwidth, provided the Australian site is on AARNet.
