Access Grid - Installation

Introduction

The Access Grid software is designed to work both on desktop setups and room based setups. Below are step by step instructions on how to install the software based on the Access Grid Easy Installer file.

Prerequisites

  • Windows XP SP2 / SP3
  • High Speed Internet Connection (KAREN)
  • Multicast Connectivity (recommended but not essential)
  • Recommended Hardware

Installation

 

Step 1

  • You will be presented with the installation welcome screen. Click Next to progress your way through and select the various addon components you would like installed.
  • If you are unfamiliar with the different addon options, just select the defaulted recommendations for installation.

Step 2

  • Select the destination folder you would like Access Grid installed to on your computer.

Step 3

  • A couple of prerequisite programs including pywin32 will need to be installed during this process. Simply click the Next button to allow these to be installed.

Step 4

  • The installation process will continue to install all your selected components as well as the Access Grid software client.

Step 5

  • Your installation is now completed.

 

Driver Installation

 

Before starting Access Grid for the first time, you will need to ensure that any hardware devices such as webcams, sound devices, graphics drivers etc are installed properly.

Please check your documentation of such devices to ensure their drivers are installed correctly.
