  3. New Event Calendar Features
  4. Forums
  5. Watching Posts
  6. Other Features

New Options

Whenever you are logged in to the the AVCC website, two additional menu items will appear to the right of the black bar menu, My Options, and Log Out. For more detail about general profile options such as updating details, and managing subscription to newsletters, visit the My Profile Options tutorial page.

Realtime Endpoint Directory Management

You will now have direct access to the AVCC endpoint listing tools, and be able to add and update new and existing endpoints that you manage. This means institutions can keep their endpoint details up to date all the time, without the delay of AVCC staff authorising your modifications.

Any new endpoint you create will automatically 'belong' to your account. This will allow you to edit and update this endpoint should any of its details change.

NOTE If you are responsible for an endpoint in the directory which you do not have edit access to on our website, this is probably because it was created before we allowed user accounts on the website. To have this endpoint transfered to you, please email our helpdesk.

For more information on adding and editing endpoints, visit the Adding and Editing Endpoints page

New Event Calendar Features

All users will now be able to post events directly into the AVCC Event Calendar. This is a great resource for anyone looking to promote a public/open event they may be hosting on any video conferencing platform.

Forums

The AVCC will now host several forums to allow affiliates and operators to discuss any problems they may be experiencing, or idea they may have to improve things. We encourage you to use these forums as a place to start some interesting discussions!

Watching Posts

Once registered, whenever you are logged in to the AVCC website you will have the option to watch a particular forum topic, news post, or tutorial article. From then on every time you log in to the website you can view your watch list to see if anything has changed. You can even have AVCC send you an email whenever a page is updated so you always remain aware of changes to content, or posts from other members.

For more information about watching posts, visit the Watching Posts tutorial page.
