Introduction
This page will help assist users connecting to the AARNet Video Bridge using the EVO client.

Step 1 - Launch EVO
- Launch your EVO client and login. You can do this by opening up your web browser and going to http://evo.arcs.org.au . If you have not installed EVO, please visit the EVO Installation tutorial page.
- Once EVO is loaded, the EVO Koala window will be displayed
- Under the "Call" menu in the navigation menu, select "H323". This will open a new smaller window with information on how to establish a H.323 call.

Step 2 - Enter H.323 information
- The H323 window will allow you to now enter the IP address of the H.323 bridge or endpoint you are wanting to connect to. To connect to the AARNet Video Bridge, simply type in the H.323 address field "202.158.196.20"
- You can also type your desired name in the Display Name field so that other users can identify you.
- All other settings can be left to their default unless you require a alternate connection speed / setting.
- To initiate the call after entering the relevant information, simply press of the Telephone Icon at the top.

Step 4 - Connected to AARNet Bridge
- A new window should now appear on your screen showing you the navigation menu of the AARNet Video Bridge.
- Please note, your H323 dial window may be hidden behind other windows. You will need this window to help you enter your desired room. You can either focus this window to be on top and active, or you can go to the "Call" menu again and select H323 in the EVO Koala window to bring it back up.

Step 5 -Navigating and Entering a Room
- To enter your desired room on the AARNet Video Bridge, the most reliable way is to enable DTMF on the Bridge. This will enable you to navigate up and down the menu and to select your desired room.
- To enable DTMF mode, press the # key twice on the h323 key pad. You will see an indication on the AARNet Bridge to let you know when it has been enabled. NB: You may have to press the # key several times for this to work.
- You can now use the "2" and "8" keys on the keypad to navigate up and down the meeting list. Once you have highlighted the meeting you wish to join, press the "6" key on the keypad.

Step 7 - Connected to Meeting Room
- You should now be connected to the meeting room.
- Don't forget to enable your camera by clicking on the camera icon at the top left of the window.

Step 8 - Changing Display Layout
- With DTMF enabled, you can use the numbers on the keypad to change the layout of the video you are receiving from the AARNet Video Bridge. To do this, use the 2, 4, 6, 8 numbers. They act as up, left, right, and down signals being sent from your EVO client to the Bridge.
- To cycle through the different layout options use the 2 (up) and 8 (down) keys.
- Once you have chosen your preferred layout option, use the 6 (right) key to cycle through the participants.
