Mirial - Connecting to the KAREN Video Bridge

Due to the recent changes to the KAREN Bridge Mirial users are advised to review the Installation Tutorial before trying to connect to the Bridge.

Also for any troubleshooting queries regarding Mirial installations you can either contact our helpdesk or you may refer to the Official Mirial Softphone troubleshooting guide.

 

Step 1

  • Load up your Mirial Softphone Application. If your camera is online and correctly configured you should now see yourself in the left hand window (black in the picture guide)
  • Locate the IP Address bar, enlarged in figure 1. In this bar use either the on screen keypad or your keyboard to enter the IP address of the KAREN Bridge, this number is: 210.7.46.20

Step 2

  • Having done this either press the <enter> key. or locate the green button to the left of the IP Address Bar and press it with the left mouse button.
  • This should cause Mirial to begin dialing out, and within seconds you should now be connected to the KAREN Meeting Attendant, or what you can think of as the 'Lobby' from the earlier image.
  • You are now connected to the bridge, Step 3 shows you how to join a meeting within the bridge.

Step 3

  • Once in the Lobby area, a list of all available rooms will appear with associated numbers in blue to the left of the room name.
  • To connect to your desired meeting room, simply press the number on your keyboard or on the Mirial keypad of the meeting that you would like to join.

Step 5

  • This will connect you to the room and you will now be able to talk and share video with everyone there.
